I´m fascinated both by Japanese history and by the Japanese lifestyle. Through taking part in the Tutor Group and in various events they organized, I´ve made lots of friends among both the international students and the Momoyama students. I´ll never forget the time we visited Kyoto and could try on beautiful traditional kimono.

BOURRE, Edouard
Because my major back at IDRAC is marketing, I decided to come to Momoyama to study the Japanese economy. As well as the specialty classes I take, I´m enjoying the "Japanimation" class that teaches us all about Japanese Anime. I was so moved when we had the chance to see the Bunraku puppet and Rakugo story-telling performances.

I wrote my graduation thesis back at MCI on "New Marketing Strategies of Japanese Companies", and I came to Momoyama both to collect data for that thesis and to improve my Japanese. The Japanese language teachers are all very thorough, and the Japanese students are also a great help! I´m really fascinated by kanji.

CORTESE, Alessandro
My dream is to become a teacher of Japanese back in my native Italy, so I´m studying really hard, and I´m also studying English! I´ve taken trips to many different places, and even become a part-time teacher of Italian, so I feel that I´m having a valuable experience here at Momoyama. I love the people of Osaka too, because they´re so warm - just like the people back home in Sicily!

My decision to come to study at Momoyama was a result of my teacher back at Vaxjo University telling me that it was the best place to study the Japanese economy. I´ve learned such a lot from my specialty classes here like "Banking" and "International Finance". The most amazing thing was to find so many different student clubs on the campus!

When I first arrived at Momoya-ma it was so difficult for me to speak Japanese, but now after just 4 months I can carry on ev-eryday conversations! I love Japanese people´s thoughtfulness and politeness. By deepening my understanding of different cultures, I´m hoping to be able to contribute to international understanding in some way in the future.

After studying Japanese for two years back in Hawaii, I came to Momoyama to brush up my skills. That was 6 months ago and now, thanks to my classes and to the Japanese friends I´ve made here, I believe that my vocabulary became much richer than before. After experiencing the weekend homestay programme, I feel that Momoyama has given me a precious experience.

By attending lectures in Japanese on things like Modern Sociology and Regional Economies, I feel that I´ve gained a much deeper and wider perspective than before. Studying the Japanese language, I´ve found things like passive expressions that we don´t have in Korean, so I feel that Momoyama´s classes are really useful to me. But my fondest memory will be all the parties we had in our student apartments!

I came to Momoyama to study both Japanese language and Management Systems. My dream is to find a front-line sales job with a Japanese company back home in China. Because I´ve made so many friends among the students of the Tutor Group, I feel that my Japanese speaking ability became much richer than before.

Momoyama is an exciting place to study, because the Library and the Information Centre are so well-equipped. You can not only use the Internet whenever you want to, but also search for materials for your essays, and it makes you want to study more and more. It was the first time for me to live by myself, but with so many friends all around me I soon got used to it, and now I´m enjoying every day of my stay.

I chose Momoyama because it promises international students such great support during their stay. I´m really glad that I came here, because the university is so well-equipped with various facilities, and the quiet environment around the campus makes it an ideal place to study. Talking about Japanese culture with students from so many different countries, I feel that my outlook has become much broader than before.

For someone who wants to be both a specialist and an interna-tionalist as I do, Momoyama is the ideal place to be because of the students who gather here from all over the world. Japan is fascinating because of its mix of the traditional and the high-tech. Now that I´ve made a lot of Japanese friends, I find myself spending more than half of each day on campus!
