交換留学プログラム
Momoyama Gakuin University accepts recommended students from its affiliated overseas institutions as exchange students for terms of either six months (one semester) or one year (two semesters), beginning at the end of March (the Spring semester) or in mid-September (the Fall semester).
桃山学院大学では、3月末（春学期）または9月中旬（秋学期）から半年間（1学期）または1年間（2学期）の期間で、海外の提携校からの推薦学生を交換留学生として受け入れています。
General note for our exchange program
交換留学生申請について
1. Our Japanese language courses are compulsory.
本学に来る交換留学生は、日本語クラスが必修となります。
2. Momoyama inbound insurance, rent and semester fee payment will be collected in cash at your arrival.
*Due to various circumstances, the semester fee will be changed to 60,000 yen (per semester) from the Fall 2023 semester.
*Rent (240,000 JPY/semester) / Semester fee (60,000 JPY/semester) / Momoyama Insurance (approx 15,000 JPY/semester）
*The above is subject to change without notice.
桃山インバウンド保険、家賃、学期諸経費は来日後のオリエンテーション時に、現金で支払いとなります。
※諸事情により2023年秋学期より学期諸経費が６万円（1学期）に変更されます。
※家賃は24万円（1学期）、学期諸経費は6万円（1学期）、桃山インバウンド保険は15,000円前後（1学期）
※上記は予告なく変更される可能性があります

About the Programme
Courses Taught in English
Most of the courses taught in English at Momoyama are open to exchange students. These include classes on Japanese economics and business as well as on culture, history, and society. In addition, English-language introductory courses on Japanese culture are available.

Regular Courses Taught in Japanese
Exchange students with adequate skill in Japanese can enroll for any regular course regardless of which faculty/department they are enrolled in.
Academic Adviser
Each exchange student is assigned an academic adviser, a full-time Momoyama lecturer who will offer advice on any problems, particularly those relating to the student´s academic life.
Tuition Fees
Exchange students recommended by one of our affiliated overseas institutions are exempt from payment of tuition fees. Expenses other than tuition (including round-trip travel costs and living expenses) must be borne by the students themselves.
Accommodation
The University provides apartment accommodation within walking distance of the campus for each exchange student. Rooms are equipped with mini-kitchen, bath/lavatory/toilet, desk, chair, desktop lamp, book-stand, rice cooker, refrigerator, bed, futon set, air conditioner, closet, and fully-automatic washing machine. Wireless LAN（Wi-Fi） Internet access is also available.
Student Support System
The International Centre is the organization principally responsible for the support of exchange students who come to Momoyama. In addition, the Resident Assistants, the Student Community and the Buddy System introduced below, together with the Educational Support Association (Kyoiku Koen Kai) and the Alumni Association (Dosokai), all share in the task of helping students to settle down.
Important Notice
In July 2012, the new resident management system (在留管理制度) became effective in accordance with the revised Immigration Control Act (入管法) of 2009. ALL INTERNATIONAL STUDENTS are strongly advised to read the following site very carefully.

Orientation
For their first week or so at Momoyama, all exchange students attend an Orientation programme organized by the International Centre. This includes information about the intricacies of Alien Registration and taking out National Insurance. We also help you register for classes, tell you about the university´s various clubs, give you some basic information about Japanese manners and customs, and take you on a day trip to a special facility set up in Osaka to train people in the techniques needed to deal with sudden disasters like earthquakes and fires.
Resident Assistants
The Resident Assistants, a Momoyama student living in the same building as the exchange students, are available to advise them about their daily lives in Japan, help them handle emergencies such as sickness, accident, or injury, show new arrivals around, and so on.
Buddy System
To help you get acclimatized, the University will provide you with a "Buddy", a full-time Momoyama student selected on the basis of the information you give us about yourself in your application, who will act as your guide during your time here. Before your arrival you will be able to communicate with your buddy using email, and we will arrange a first meeting after you get here.
Student Community
Momoyama students have made up a student community to help exchange students with any problems they encounter in their daily lives, and who plan various special events to help them settle in.
Message from the University President
Momoyama Gakuin University was founded in 1959, following the Anglican Church tradition. Having the main campus in Izumi City, Osaka, the university has six faculties and seven departments with a total of 6,400 students approximately.
“Fostering Citizens of the World” is our educational philosophy. Based on this philosophy, we have been fostering people who can allow different opinions and ways of thinking, and who can cooperate with anyone anywhere in the world since its founding.
Learning in university is not only in the knowledge in books, but also in actual actions. It is important to actually interact with society and tackle various issues, which helps you develop. Some of you may have already been involved in social activities. Be encouraged to further develop your activities at the university and actively let the world know what you have achieved.
University life involves self-responsibility. When it is attending classes, submitting assignments, or participating in clubs and circles, you need to take responsibility for your own decisions and actions. University is a place and a time to nurture your independence and autonomy so that you will be ready to take off into the world after graduation.
